Internet Safety :Kidsguard4u

Now more than ever our children are using the internet for everyday activities such as homework, researching, and even chatting with friends. Children are more comfortable using computers because they have grown up around them.Children also have an inherent need to freely explore, and the internet is the perfect way for them to do so easily from their own home. This leaves them open to become easy targets for manipulative adults with varying motivations. Some online criminals would rather gain access to personal bank accounts, or steal your identity. Others may try to meet your child in real life to try to sexually or physically assault your child.

The internet provides no more safety than meeting a stranger in real life. Because of the false security, many people get scammed for information and they don't even realize. Many parents and teens alike might not want to believe this, but we should consider the facts. One in five children were solicited online in the past year. One in five were exposed to photos or videos of people with graphic sexual content. Things of this nature are also free and easy for a child to download. The numbers themselves are enough to scare anyone, but situations like this are easier to avoid than you might think!

It's important to talk with your children. Let them know what kind of people could be lurking, no matter how nice they might seem. Instruct your kids to limit online conversation to people you already know. If you have a child that wants to "chat" (strongly suggest otherwise), but if they MUST make sure they know what is appropriate conversation.Never under any circumstance should your child be allowed to give out any personal information such as name, phone number, email, and especially where they live, work, or go to school. Explain to your children disobeying these safety precautions could seriously harm the financial and physical well being of the entire family.

Parents want to think that our teenagers are older and wiser than our pre teens, but in reality they are more likely to get into trouble on the internet. Teens are more likely to venture around websites, exploring limitless information on everything from their favorite singer to downloading movies.Teenagers are more curious and will take bigger risks than children. They are also more likely to reach out and chat with people from the internet that they don't know personally. Remind your children that people can pretend to be anyone through a computer, so even if they think they know this person, be careful.

Like in parenting, it does help in teaching internet safety to children if you already enjoy an open relationship with your kids. For that matter, if your relationship with your kids is one of trust and reliability, it will be far easier not only getting across your messages to them but anything important you want to share with them. Hence building up a good relationship with your children helps in keeping them safe too although indirectly.

Maybe you already know this, but there has been some unfortunate cases where some kids ended their lives due to extreme tormenting experiences online. Even if not this extreme, we know that experiences of deep hurt during childhood can scar a child for life. The parents of the kids who went through extreme sufferings due to online activities would surely have regretted not having taken the right steps in time to protect their children.

Kidsguard4u : Internet Safety

With Internet usage growing all the time internet safety has become an important issue. There are those who look to take advantage of the internet for criminal activity. There are many things that internet users need to look out for, among them the possibility of identity theft and fraud, viruses and unsafe emails.Identity theft has been an issue off-line for a long time but it is now just as much of an issue, if not more so, online. A good example of internet identity theft is someone gaining your bank details and using them to purchase goods or services online. Some attempt to use other people's details to open bank accounts or credit card accounts. This allows them to spend using a credit card that is then billed to the person whose details it was set up with. So if this happens to you it could ultimately lead to you being in debt. There are even examples of people getting mortgages using such techniques. It is therefore always important to be careful with where you submit your information to. Never submit your personal information or bank details to a website you are suspicious of.

How Can I Monitor and Record My Children's Activities on the Internet?

I decided to record activities of my children over the internet because I wanted to cover all the bases and keep them safe. Just like so many other parents out there, I get paranoid when my children are surfing the internet. I know they are chatting with friends, listening to music, and looking mostly at websites which are harmless, but I hear all the stories of teenagers disappearing, getting harassed over the computer, putting up naked pictures of themselves, and doing so many other inappropriate things. That is why I decided to record activities of my children over the internet with monitoring software that I downloaded right from the internet. I knew that standing over their shoulder every second they are online isn't realistic, but I also knew that keeping them safe and knowing what they are doing every second was vitally important.

Now that I have taken advantage of this software and now record activities of my children over the internet, I can go online at anytime and see exactly what they are doing with their time. I know if they are really doing homework when they say they are. I know if they are visiting websites which are inappropriate for them or posting pictures that are too risqué for their own good.

Being a parent means keeping up with what your children are doing so problems can be caught before they become tragedies. That is why I decided the ability to record activities of my children on the internet was something I just could not pass up. It's the only way to know for sure that they are doing what they are supposed to be doing and staying out of trouble online.

Parental Monitoring Software: Concerned About Where Your Kids Really Are?

Why consider parental monitoring software (or cell phone spyware)? If you're worried about your kids, you don't have to be like the millions of unfortunate parents out there who sit alone and worried at night, wondering if their kids are safe and behaving themselves. With parental monitoring software at your disposal, you'll be able to watch them at a distance without taking away their freedom to explore themselves. Here are a few ways this software can benefit you.Parental monitoring software is unique in that all you have to do is install in on your teen's phone. It only takes a few moments, and once installed, there's no need to reinstall it or add upgrades. You'll want to create an online account through their website, however, as this is how you will receive your information. Many parents even install it before gifting the phone. Reliable, undetectable, and accurate, it provides you with everything you need to know without your teen ever knowing he or she is being observed.

What sort of things does phone spy software report? A few basics include call history, text history, address book names, and GPS locations. Some even provide camera shots, if the phone has a camera. Either way, you'll be able to know exactly where your teen is and who he or she was with at any given time, day or night. Best of all, you can install parental monitoring software on more than one phone and still receive all of your information in one tidy spot. Some other things to look for in quality software include compatibility. The best spyware is able to work with iPhones, smartphones, Android, Nokia, Symbian S60, Blackberry phones, and thousands of others. You can learn more about which software is best for you and your price range by reading blog reviews or user comments. While these may not be 100% accurate, they're nevertheless a reliable way to find information on which product is best for you.

These are only a few ways that cell phone spyware can benefit you. Along with making sure that your teen is being truthful about his or her activities, you can also ensure that they're staying away from activities that may potentially harm them, such as drug use, alcoholism, drag racing, illegal parties, trespassing, and worse.

Why is Internet Safety Important?

Why is internet safety important? The number one reason is because there are pedophiles that seek out young, innocent children to prey upon by using the internet. This is a problem nationwide. If you read your syndicated newspapers, you will find numerous articles regarding this problem. Parents really need to safeguard their children. Every computer comes with safety features. Always go to "internet options" and set security levels on the computer that your child uses all the time. There are programs that parents can buy that has "parental guidelines". These programs allows the parent to actually see what websites and chat rooms that your child visits. You can also set a time limit on how long your child can spend on the internet. Why is internet safety important? Because it may save the life of a child. There are bad people that live in our world. They do not care about the person they are chatting with on the internet. Their only concern is what they can get from their victim, no matter what, no matter how. If you love your children, you will want to restrict and or monitor all internet activity that they are involved in.

The internet was not designed for just chatting purposes only. It was designed as a research tool. There is information on the internet about every topic, person, people, place or things all made available at the click of a button. But because people are people and because people are inquisitive, then you get pedophiles that seek out victims on the internet.

Why is internet safety important? There are terrorists in the world. Remember Columbine, Colorado. The two students that killed their classmates had a website that was linked to terrorists. Fifteen to seventeen year old students cannot buy guns or ammunition without an adult with them. Someone had to supply those kids with the weaponry that they used to murder the other students. Columbine was the only school shooting incident that was linked to terroristic activity. It is so important to know what your children are doing and what they are involved in.

Your child may very well not like the idea of you "getting involved'. But remember, YOU are the parent. Also, remind your child daily of how much you love them, and how much you want to protect them. Help them be aware of the dangers that they can encounter just by surfing the web. Your local police officers can get information for you that you can share with your children. Go so far as to have a local police officer talk to your child. By doing this, you could very well save your child's life.

We Need To Teach Our Kids To Be Tech Savy While Staying Safe

Kids and technology can be a scary combination, and parents are striving to find the right balance between independence and protection for their children. The dangers of technology are well known. “Sex” and “porn” are the fourth and sixth most popular search terms by children on the Internet, according to a study done by Symantec, creators of the Norton online family software.Parents legitimately worry about sexting, texting with strangers, posting of personal information on social networks, online bullying and viewing sexually explicit, violent, or hate-filled material. One of the greatest fears of parents is that their children will be abused by an online sexual predator. The Youth Internet Safety Survey found that 4 percent of kids 10-17 years of age received aggressive unwarranted sexual solicitations on the Internet. When these teens did meet in person with a stranger, in 95 percent of the cases, the sexual contact was “consensual” between a vulnerable teen and a manipulative adult.

The thought that our teen may be exploited by an online stranger is terrifying to any parent. We need to alert our kids to the risks of online contacts, but also want to be careful not to exaggerate the problem and lose credibility. In response to these risks, it seems that more parents are employing surveillance as the way to keep their kids safe. They monitor their teen’s cell phone texts, emails and Internet sites. They covertly install software that records every keystroke on their child’s computer.

“My primary job is to keep my kids safe when they are under my care. When they go off to college, they are on their own,” proclaimed one parent. Here’s the dilemma. You want to keep your kids secure, but you also need to teach them how to become responsible and educated technological citizens when you are not there to monitor their every keystroke or track their every movement with a GPS device.I’ll readily admit that I’m as confused as the parents I counsel, and my advice keeps changing in response to recent research.

Here’s what I think I know at this point.Except in extraordinary circumstances, never covertly monitor your child’s behavior. It destroys trust and credibility.Keep computers in a public setting at least through junior high.If you allow your child to join a social network, make certain that you have complete access to their site. Most importantly, talk lots about this stuff with your kids. Don’t preach, but ask questions and seek their opinions. Remember that your job is to teach them the skills to stay safe when they are not under our care.

Software For Monitoring Children on the Internet

You can obtain software for monitoring children on the internet that will work very effectively for tracing back footprints of their online travels, while protecting them from violence and adult material. Here are some important features you should make sure your monitoring software includes:

1. Encrypted log file. This is where everything will be stored and you'll be able to access it by email. This makes things completely invisible. The child will not be able to see, access, change, or delete the file. Encrypted log files can be sent over email at various intervals so you'll be updated constantly on computer activity.

2. Screenshot capability. With this you will be able to have screenshots automatically taken at varying intervals. Now you can see exactly whats on the screen and make a determination of whether or not it crosses the line for child viewing.

3. Capturing keystrokes. This can help identify and record user keystrokes, see what websites are being typed in, and so forth.

4. Ease of use. Software for monitoring children on the internet should be easy to use, and easy to bring up the monitoring results or records of activity occurring on your computer.

5. Download online. For immediate use you should find software for monitoring children on the internet right online, available for download. No trips to the computer store are necessary, as you can save time and set up the monitoring process immediately through keylogger software programs online. Many of these programs will have multiple uses. For instance they can be used for employee monitoring and even cheating spouses, so don't be turned away if you see these tag lines for use. The programs should also mention children monitoring as well.

Children Safety Online is threatened from different angles, but with my Internet Safety Tips for kids you can guarantee them a safe web surfing. Internet is full of websites with inappropriate content for the eyes of our innocent kids. And they are easy victims to sexual predators and pedophiles while chatting online. But you are only a few steps away to be absolutely carefree while your kids are surfing the web. Just follow these tips.
Tip 1 - Restrict their online access
To make sure that your children only see what is appropriate for them, you have to restrict their online access. With a filtering software you can decide, which content your web browser will show and which not. You can block specific URL's or web pages that contain certain keywords or phrases in general.

Tip 2 - Monitor their Internet activities
A monitoring software gives you direct access to all of your kid's online activities. Captured screen shots allow you to get log in detail for their email and social network account. They record every single word your children exchange in chat and instant messaging as well.

Tip 3 - Get a Parental Internet Control Software
With this software you get all the features to follow Tip 1 and Tip 2. A Parental Internet Control Software allows you to watch over your children's shoulder at every time and as soon as you see something suspicious or dangerous, you can react immediately, search the discussion and protect your kids from further damage.

If you want more detailed information about Children Safety Online, read this article too. You will find other links there to information about Parental Internet Control Software as well as a complete Parental Control Software Review and a Review about the best product on the market.

That children surf the web a few hours a day is nothing unusual. But did you ever think about what they are doing exactly, which web sites they visit and to whom they are chatting to? We want to give our children all the liberty they can afford, but for all of its virtues, Internet is a dangerous playground for our youngster.

Did you know, that 12%, (4.2 million...) of all websites are pornographic websites? Or did you know, that 1 out of 5 children between 11 and 17 years of age in the US are sexually harassed at least once while chatting online? I was shocked when I read this information! I started to research about Internet threats, the possibilities to protect children online and the different existing Parental Internet Control Softwares.

Monitoring Software For Parents and Families

As a parent I am always acutely aware of my actions towards my teenagers. Getting in the way of their self autonomy and self confidence can arrest their selfhood. I know my kids need direction, but knowing when to act and when to let them stand on their own is often a dilemma. I have found using a monitoring software can greatly increase your control over the safety of your children on the internet.Clearly not allowing your kids to use the internet is not a good thing to do, because despite the dangers, the internet is an exceptional learning tool. Dis advantaging your children by removing their computer is obviously a mistake. To gain the protection and peace of mind for me and my wife, we found the most interesting solution is a monitoring software.
This type of software can be installed on your childs computer and with a simple keyboard shortcut that you have to remember, you can make it invisible and then re appear again for settings or editing. You can also have logs sent remotely so you get real time monitoring while you are at work. It only takes a second to look at the most recent log to find out which website they are visiting and what they are doing and who they are talking to. This type of close monitoring is very useful and we will continue to do this until she is old enough to make her decisions online for herself without getting into trouble.

How Keylogger Software Can Help Protect Your Family

It is without doubt that the value of the Internet is extremely high. These days, in many homes across the world, the Internet is a central part of the family's entertainment, education, communications and more. However, the virtual world is also full of dangers, especially when it comes to children who have unrestricted access to the Internet. Unchecked access to the Internet, especially by children, can, and has, in many cases, lead to disastrous consequences.

The necessity for keylogger software is now higher than ever before as the dangers on the Internet continue to grow as the Internet itself expands across the world. Fortunately, keeping your children safe while using the Internet is not as difficult as it might sound.

It happens frequently, in which children who have unrestricted Internet access, end up communicating inappropriately with older people who may have malicious intentions. Children are quite often led away from home by such stalkers, often leading to terrible consequences. To prevent this, you need to know exactly what is going on and how they are using your computer before it is too late.

The keylogger software is your ultimate solution, but it is a decision not to be taken lightly. A keylogger which does not run invisibly and does not record everything that is needed is virtually no use to you at all. However, the solution that you need for any PC is called Refog Keylogger, a user-friendly piece of software which will help protect your family online. Once installed, this software will record all of the keystrokes entered into the computer. It will also log your web history, take screenshots for complete visual evidence and more.

This solution will help you to protect your family, simply because you will be able to learn of exactly how your computer is being used when you are not present. It also means that you can actually give your children a certain degree of freedom over the Internet. This is because you can be confident that if they get up to any inappropriate behavior, such as visiting inappropriate websites or talking to inappropriate people, you will learn about it right away. All of the logs are sent over remote connections such as the Internet or via a local area network, and nobody has to know that they're being monitored.

This solution is also ideal for catching a cheating spouse or for using in the workplace to make sure that your company's resources are being used correctly. Since the software runs invisibly, it is also virtually impossible to circumvent. Even the more computer savvy people will not even know that it is running, let alone be able to stop it.

There is also a password protection feature and in the unlikely event that somebody finds out that the keylogger is running, they will not be able to circumvent it. The software is automatically updated as well, so once you have installed it and set it up, which is a quick and simple process, the program will do the rest of the work for you.
